- A referral counts when the referred business pays for a spot.
- For hosts and advertisers the reward is an ad spot, never cash, and it cannot be sold or transferred. Someone with no business to advertise is paid $600 for every six paid referrals instead.
- One business per category per board applies to referred businesses and to the free spot.
- The free spot's twelve months begin on the day the board it goes on is installed.
- If two people refer the same business, the first one we wrote down gets the credit.
- Referrals keep counting for as long as you host a board or sponsor one, and with no limit if you have no business to advertise.
- StreetSpan Media decides which boards are open and may change the program for future referrals with notice. Spots already earned are honored.
Common QuestionsThings You Might Want to Know
Does the referred business have to be near my location?
No. Any board, in any town we are in. A host in Tarpon Springs can send us a roofer who ends up on a board in Clearwater, and it counts the same.
What if I refer three plumbers?
All three count when they pay. Only one plumber goes on any single board, so the other two go on other boards where the category is open.
I already paid for this year. What do I get?
Your choice: next year free on the spot you have, or a free spot at another location on top of the one you have.
Can I give my free spot to someone else?
No. It is for your own business. It is the same as a paid spot in every other way: design, print, install and twelve months on the board.
How do I know where I stand?
Ask any time, by text or call, and we tell you the count. We also let you know each time a referral pays.
Do referrals expire?
No. They keep counting for as long as you host a board or sponsor one, and with no business of your own they never stop counting.
I do not own a business. Can I still refer?
Yes. Six paid referrals pay you $600 and twelve pay $1,200. Give us the names, we do the selling, and you are paid once the sixth one pays.
