StreetSpan Media ("StreetSpan," "we," "us") operates StreetSpanMedia.com and places advertising specials boards in local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, call or text us, or sign an advertising or host agreement, we collect what you provide: name, phone number, email address, business name, website, city, preferred area, business category, business type, and approximate customer counts.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive standard technical data when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you. Our website platform may set cookies for analytics and to make forms work. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
QR code scans. Advertiser panels on our boards may carry a QR code. When someone scans one, the link passes through a StreetSpan redirect so we can count scans for the advertiser. We record the time of the scan, general device type, and the board it came from. We do not ask for or store the name of the person scanning.
How we use information
We use information to respond to your inquiry, check category availability, set up and manage advertiser and host accounts, send service messages about your account, report scan counts to advertisers, improve the site and our boards, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check a consent box on one of our forms or text our business number, you agree to receive text messages from StreetSpan Media. Transactional messages relate to your request and your account, such as availability answers, appointment reminders, and board updates. If you check the separate marketing box, you also agree to occasional marketing messages about board availability and offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help, or contact us at (727) 425-8282 or [email protected]. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our website and customer relationship platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector) and its telephone carrier (Twilio), our email provider, and our payment processor. These providers may only use the information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a sale or merger of the business.
Advertisers receive scan counts for their own panel. They do not receive personal information about the people who scanned.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Your information is stored in our customer relationship platform, which uses encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security monitoring. Access to contact information is limited to StreetSpan Media staff who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects your data.
Retention
We keep inquiry and account information for as long as you have an active relationship with us and for a reasonable period afterward to handle follow-up questions, renewals, and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights and choices
You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, opt out of emails using the unsubscribe link, and ask us to access, correct, update, or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us below. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the site or by message to active advertisers and hosts.
